About Smooth Radio Scotland
Smooth Scotland is an independent local radio station that is part of the Smooth radio network and that broadcasts in Glasgow and in the surrounding area. Smooth Scotland is part of three (out of a total of six) FM stations, and all eighteen AM frequencies, that is owned and operated by Global. The other three FM licenses are owned by Communicorp and run as a franchise.
Smooth Scotland broadcasts on FM in the Glasgow area, in Wester Ross during non-local broadcast hours of Two Lochs Radio, on DAB radio to the East of Scotland and online via a streaming service.
All local programing is produced and broadcasted from Smooth's Glasgow studios and networked programming content is broadcasted from London. Smooth Scotland plays adult contemporary music and aims at listeners aged 35 and over.
