Built by Matt Hamer, a former club and radio DJ across the North West of England and the Midlands. I wanted to bring you the best music from that era in a modern way, without losing any of the vintage warmth of the FM radio we all grew up on. And so Phat Choons Radio was born. Some of you might remember my "Phat Choons" mix CDs from back then — maybe you've still got one tucked away somewhere. Naming the station was the easy part; recreating the authentic sound of that era was the real challenge. How it works It's all killer, no filler here — and no traditional ad breaks. Just music curated from my own personal collection, preserved in the highest possible quality, with my virtual presenters shouting out a local business every few songs.
