For quite some time now, we discovered something amazing about our users' community. A great part of our daily users have something in common, they are all expatriates.
Expatriate, commonly shortened to expat, is a person who's temporarily residing in a country other than their born country.
If you're an expat yourself, or if you've ever been one, or even if you have someone in your family or in your friend's group who's one, you know that the hardest thing about living away from your home country is homesickness.
You miss the family, the friends, the weather, the food, the people, the places you used to go, sometimes the language, basically everything.
And something really cool we can provide to the expat communities is to allow them to listen to the radio stations from their home countries.
It may seem something small or of no importance, but think about it, how amazing it is to be able to listen to your favorite radio stations from your home country even when you are on the other side of the globe?
You can listen to music and shows in your native language, be updated on what's going on there, sometimes you can even interact with some stations and share your story with them.
We spoke with some of our users who are in this situation and they told us that listening to their home country radio stations have helped them feel closer to their homeland and family, they feel as they are still part of that Country, they are still proud citizens.
It doesn't matter if you're in Australia you can still listen to your favorite American radio stations. Or if you're an Australian living in the US you can still listen to your Australian compatriots.
Whatever the place you're living in right now, you can always feel closer to your home country.
